Sunbathing season hasn’t started yet for most of the nation, but Dua Lipa is showing us how it’s done. The singer took to Instagram on 11 May and shared a stunning holiday image of her lying next to crystal clear waters, but it wasn’t just the sea sparkling in the sunshine that caught our attention, but her shimmering sequin bikini.
The 27-year-old showed off her enviable summer glow in a bare-faced selfie, showing her lying in the itsy-bitsy triangle bikini top and tie-string bottoms, with a simple gold coin necklace to finish the beachside look. Holding up a book – with her perfectly manicured glazed donut nails on show, might we add – Lipa shared with her fans that she’s launched a new book club as part of her Service 95 lifestyle brand.
“Ever since I can remember, anywhere I go I take a book with me,” she captioned the photo carousel, which also saw the star reading in bed, in another sunbathing shot, and on a plane, among other locations. “Reading is an incredibly important part of my life and one of my biggest joys.” She went on to tell her followers that she’s excited to launch her newest venture “where we can share that joy of discovery with each other”. Lipa has always been an avid bookworm, having spoken at the Booker Prize for fiction ceremony along with Queen Camilla last year. She plans to “go deep” with a book of the month, and share author interviews and features which contextualise each book of choice, as well as recommended further reading. “I’m so excited to read along with you 📚❤️ @service95,” she concluded.
Lipa is no first-timer when it comes to stunning bikini shots, either. The star recently posted photos wearing a gorgeous floral number by Feline Swim during a trip to Jamaica, rocking a Hello Kitty crochet string bikini, as well as an ultra-retro two-piece by Chopova Lowena during her trip to Albania in 2022. She even rocked a sequin swimsuit by Loewe back in September. Suddenly, our summer holiday can’t come soon enough – and a sequin bikini is top of our shopping list.
