It’s been hailed as a must-have for any capsule wardrobe, and “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown has yet again showcased the simplistic sophistication of the little black dress. Looking effortlessly chic as she attended the Samsung Galaxy Creators Lounge Event in New York City on 10 Aug., she stepped out in a lace-trimmed Louis Vuitton minidress straight from the spring/summer 22 catwalk.
The 18-year-old gave the timeless look a modern twist. The double spaghetti straps and v-neckline were designed with a bubble hem peplum at the waist as the silk fabric skirt was finished with a lace trim. She paired the loose fit dress with chunky black patent Mary Jane platform heels that perfectly offset the floaty frock, accessorising with a simple gold chain necklace, hoop earrings, bangle, and ring.
Brown continued to juxtapose the classic with the contemporary as her hair and makeup were flawless. A little black dress and punchy red lip are undoubtedly a winning combination and Brown proved it with a sweep of bold lipstick. Matt skin and a subtle gold eyeshadow with her signature smoky eyeliner completed her makeup. She also gave her blonde hair a middle parting, sleeking her bob haircut down, and tucking behind her ears to keep her look fuss-free. A dramatically different feel to her long blonde hair and fringe she debuted at the “Stranger Things” premiere back in May.
After another incredible series playing Eleven in “Stranger Things”, she’s been using the summer for some well-deserved downtime and holidaying in Italy with her boyfriend Jake Bongiovi. The lovedup couple also attended Harry Styles’s Love on Tour at Wembley Stadium and Brown posted the latest snap of the pair sharing a sundae and playing on an arcade dance machine alongside the caption “Always b my baby”.
Her outing this week follows her recent interview with Allure magazine as she opened up about growing up in the spotlight. “I just have to develop within myself. That’s what I did- that’s what I’m doing,” she told the publication. She’s certainly developing into a style icon to us.
