Supermodel Kate Moss has dominated the fashion industry for decades thanks to her stellar modelling career and cool personal style, and her sartorial reign is showing no signs of slowing down. Attending the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards in New York on 2 Nov., Moss stepped out in an olive green sheer gown that left her black thong visible in a look reminiscent of her infamous ’90s naked slip dress.
Moss’s statement style put the fashion icon firmly in the spotlight for the evening. The backless dress, which hails from Saint Laurent’s spring 2023 runway, included a ruched top with extra fabric to form a hood. With a triangle cutout at the torso, the green fabric turned sheer from the waist and fell to the floor. The model wore a black thong underneath that matched her black platform boots, a look similar to Halsey’s underwear-exposing outfit last month.
The dress was accessorised with lots of jewellery to add a bohemian feel that is firmly in Moss’s comfort zone. Teaming the gown with dangly earrings, an amber crystal pendant, arm cuff, and layered bangles, the finishing touches showed her style prowess. Her hair was swept into a chic bun and yet another glistening accessory was added to her hair. With kohl-lined eye makeup and peachy lips, Moss’s ‘fit was the perfect combination of ethereal glamour.
Hooded dresses are having a moment as Moss rubbed shoulders with fellow model, Amber Valletta, who was also dressed in a green hooded gown for the occasion. Hailey Bieber opted for a super chic black maxi dress by Saint Laurent, while Margot Robbie went for a ’70s take in a white suit with extreme flared trousers.
While Moss continues to take centre stage for her style, she has also recently followed in the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow and launched her own wellness brand, Cosmoss. The notorious party-lover was inspired by her new holistic lifestyle and dropped a range of beauty products to help others find balance.
